Director of Systems & Learning and Co-Director of Expanding the Bench

Angel Villalobos is the Director of Systems & Learning at Change Matrix and Co-Director of Expanding the Bench® (ETB), where he leads national, federal, and philanthropic initiatives focused on Culturally Responsive and Equitable Evaluation (CREE), field building, and community-driven systems change.

A learner, connector, and problem solver, Angel supports initiatives such as Expanding the Bench®, the Systems Alignment for Innovation Hub (SAIH), and Community Research for Health Equity (CRHE). His work is grounded in co-creation, relationship-building, and community context, helping partners design evaluation and learning efforts that honor lived experience and shift how power and knowledge flow across systems.
