Transforming Academia for Equity, The Learning Journey: Part 2

Engaging Diverse Voices for Action
The second session in this series moves from preparation to participation, actively and meaningfully engaging diverse voices to advance health equity in academic settings. The second phase of the LTCF, this session examines the principles and the practice of inclusive engagement and why authentic participation from a broad range of stakeholders is central to lasting institutional change.
Participants will hear from the University of Memphis about their approaches to student engagement within their TAE journey, offering a concrete model for how grantee institutions are centering those most impacted by systemic inequities. The session features a structured small-group dialogue activity designed to surface diverse perspectives and generate actionable ideas from participants.
This session is designed to be interactive and reflective, encouraging attendees to examine the conditions and structures within their own institutions that support and hinder inclusive engagement.
