Lauren Vargo serves as an Evaluator and Program Manager on multiple projects at Change Matrix. She takes a relationship-based and curious approach to engaging project partners to identify learning and evaluation activities that aim to support community-based organizations in transforming systems.
She enjoys the evaluation life-cycle of data collection, analysis, and dissemination – specifically, dissemination through data storytelling techniques that uplift community solutions, build community capacity, and drive change.
Lauren has been dedicated to health equity and community-based work, specifically within food systems, for 6 years prior to joining Change Matrix in 2022. She holds a master’s in urban planning and development from Cleveland State University, and a bachelor’s in geography from Ohio University. Originally from Cleveland, OH, she currently resides in Boulder, CO with her partner and pets. She spends her time away from the computer adventuring in the mountains, enjoying (or teaching) a workout class, moseying around a farmers’ market, connecting with friends, or cooking at home.
