What is it?
The 988 Crisis System Response Training and Technical Assistance Center (988 CSR-TTAC) (2023-Present) provides comprehensive support to States, Territories, Tribal Nations, and community partners to strengthen the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline network and the broader behavioral health crisis continuum of care. The CSR-TTAC’s mission is to foster crisis care systems that are integrated, sustainable, equitable, and grounded in evidence-based and evidence-informed practices.
As a proud partner within CSR-TTAC, Change Matrix (CM) brings deep expertise in addressing the unique needs of diverse communities through its focus areas, including Children, Youth, and Families, Tribal Training and Technical Assistance, Building Capacity for High-Risk Populations.
Our work has included co-designing policy academies, planning an array of learning opportunities, and providing tailored technical assistance (TA) that addresses the varied needs of rural communities, youth populations, individuals with lived experience, and groups with barriers to accessibility.
What Change Matrix does
Through the 988 TTAC, CM has led efforts to:
- Support states in planning, implementing, and sustaining 988-aligned crisis systems.
- Elevate equity by embedding culturally responsive approaches into crisis system design and TA delivery.
- Strengthen partnerships between behavioral health providers, peer support specialists, first responders, and community organizations.
- Facilitate learning opportunities such as webinars, policy academies, and peer-to-peer exchanges to share promising practices nationwide.
