SUMMARY:Transforming Academia for Equity\, The Learning Journey: Part 3
DESCRIPTION:Implementing and Sustaining the Work\nThe final session of this series addresses one of the most complex challenges in equity-centered institutional change: moving from planning and engagement to implementation and sustaining that work. In the third phase of the LTCF\, this session explores how institutions identify and implement an activity and engage in reflective learning to refine and sustain the activity. \nGrantee representatives from the University of Southern California and Oregon State University will share examples from their respective TAE journeys\, including community-engaged research center development and the use of Communities of Practice and mentorship programming. \nThe session features a practical exercise that asks participants to identify the realistic\, concrete actions already within their sphere of influence and support a change process in incremental stages. By identifying these incremental changes\, attendees can move from analysis to action with greater confidence and possibility. \n\nRegistration Coming Soon!

SUMMARY:Transforming Academia for Equity\, The Learning Journey: Part 2
DESCRIPTION:Engaging Diverse Voices for Action\nThe second session in this series moves from preparation to participation\, actively and meaningfully engaging diverse voices to advance health equity in academic settings. The second phase of the LTCF\, this session examines the principles and the practice of inclusive engagement and why authentic participation from a broad range of stakeholders is central to lasting institutional change.  \nParticipants will hear from the University of Memphis about their approaches to student engagement within their TAE journey\, offering a concrete model for how grantee institutions are centering those most impacted by systemic inequities. The session features a structured small-group dialogue activity designed to surface diverse perspectives and generate actionable ideas from participants.  \nThis session is designed to be interactive and reflective\, encouraging attendees to examine the conditions and structures within their own institutions that support and hinder inclusive engagement.  \nRegister Now!

SUMMARY:Transforming Academia for Equity\, The Learning Journey: Part 1
DESCRIPTION:Creating Conditions for Change\nThis opening session introduces the Transforming Academia for Equity (TAE) initiative and the Leading Through Change Framework (LTCF) developed by Change Matrix. LTCF is the conceptual framework guiding TAE grantee institutions through meaningful\, equity-centered transformation. Participants will gain an understanding of why creating the right conditions is a critical and often underestimated first step in any DEIB or health equity change process. \nThrough a moderated “Celebrity Interview” featuring TAE Coordinating Center staff and representatives from the University of California\, Los Angeles\, and Drexel University\, attendees will hear how approaches to the importance of relationships\, building a shared vision\, and establishing common definitions are essential groundwork. A peer-exchange community builder activity will invite participants to reflect on the most pressing DEIB challenges in their own schools or programs\, creating space for honest dialogue and connection across institutions. \nAttendees will leave with practical insights into the barriers commonly encountered during this phase of change work and concrete ideas for applying these lessons within their own academic contexts. \nRegister Here
