Funders Panel: A Call to Learn and Move Toward Equity
December 7, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm MST
The time to push for racial-ethnic equity in evaluation is now!
DESCRIPTION
“Funders should turn the mirror inward and focus on how to become more deliberate about addressing the low levels of ethno-racial diversity within the field. Philanthropic leaders who engage in Expanding the Bench are actively confronting this issue head-on by committing to open doors for more people of color.” —Jackie Kaye Williams, Wellspring Philanthropic Fund
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The Annie E. Casey Foundation, and Ford Foundation, in partnership with Change Matrix, invite you to a conversation among funders to learn about Expanding the Bench® (ETB), an initiative that envisions a world where power is distributed equitably amongst evaluators, community members, and funders to lead change toward justice.
Philanthropic leaders from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Walton Family Foundation, and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving will share their reasons for new and sustaining investments to support and promote a culturally responsive and equitable evaluation (CREE) ecosystem through ETB. Panelists will have the opportunity to explore with participants how they are prioritizing their equity work.
