Learn about the national movement and the easy steps you can take to get your city or state to recognize May 10th as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Mental Health Day!

This May is the first anniversary of Congresswoman Chu presenting an historic resolution to Congress designating May 10th as National Asian American Pacific Islander Mental Health Day. NAAPIMHA is very proud to have taken the lead in creating this resolution and invites everyone to join in to ensure it is presented each year to Congress. NAAPIMHA is also asking your help in getting the state and city proclamations passed following in the footsteps of California and Colorado.

Having a national movement to raise awareness around mental health will do more than just educating our communities and the general public about AANHPI mental health. It is also designed to make meaningful change by allocating resources to strengthen AANHPI serving behavioral health organizations, to support the development, implementation and evaluation of services, and intervention strategies that reflect the cultural and language needs of the community and to provide resources to engage the community in creating new ways of healing.
