Evelyn Clark (she/her/hers) is a Mexican-Native American woman. She was born in Fremont, CA. Evelyn now lives in Olympia, WA along the beautiful Puget Sound with her husband Andre and daughter, Ava. She loves walks along HER beach and loves to connect with others. Evelyn is a Certified Peer Counselor, she was certified by WA State in 2012. Her passions for this work include ending racial disparities for BIPOC and leadership development. She believes that community is the answer for people to get the best quality of services. Her work models “nothing about us without us” which speaks to including the community and the ones we are serving in all we do. She has experience at the community, state government and international level. Both her lived experience and work experience drive her heart and her why for this work. She has been able to break stigma for those involved in the juvenile justice and Criminal Justice systems and other systems including foster care, homelessness and substance use. Evelyn brings heart, empathy and vulnerability to her work which makes her a courageous and daring leader.
