Lauren Vargo
Change Consultant, Evaluator
“The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.”
Lauren (she/her) continually seeks to better understand the relationship between the built environment and human health, and to build equity among historically underserved populations. Her core values include integrity, accountability, and being of service to others – qualities that are present in her daily work. She graduated with a Masters of Urban Planning and Development, with a specialization in sustainability. Lauren has been dedicated to health equity and community based work, specifically within food systems, for over five years. She has led evaluation efforts for a statewide nutrition incentive program, enjoys storytelling with data and disseminates project findings with diverse audiences in mind. Outside of work, she can be found teaching or practicing yoga, celebrating earth day (everyday), dancing at a concert, shopping at the farmers’ market, or curling up on the couch to enjoy a movie or book.
