Overview of Change Matrix

Change Matrix, LLC (CM) is a small, women- and minority-owned business that develops and offers tools and resources to motivate, manage, and measure change in leaders, organizations, and systems. We are seeking a full-time evaluation assistant who has excellent organizational, writing, and research skills to support CM projects. A high-quality candidate should have experience researching a variety of social science topic areas, ability to synthesize information, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Interpersonal skills are a must since the evaluation assistant will regularly collaborate with all CM employees and external partners.

Overview of the Position

CM is seeking a full-time Evaluation Assistant I / Resource Curator to use organizational and research skills to support CM projects, specifically Expanding the Bench®. In partnership with project-based teams, the Evaluation Assistant will use research skills in topic areas that include behavioral health and other systems, equity, cultural and linguistic competence, evaluation, leadership development, data storytelling, and collaboration for systems change. This person will take a data-informed approach to resource identification to drive our audiences to our CM and project-based websites.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand CM vision and mission and become familiar with the CM project portfolio.
  • Identify and curate timely and relevant resources and events by using an established decision tree. Topics and content include behavioral health and other systems, social determinants of health, equity, cultural and linguistic competence, evaluation, data storytelling, and systems change.
  • Write summaries of resources and events for posting on CM-sponsored websites.
  • Identify and prepare accompanying visuals for website content.
  • Share resources via content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Contentful), social media, and newsletters.
  • Support the maintenance of existing databases – enters, cleans, and manages data; this may include manual data entry
  • Create surveys in online survey software.
  • Monitor a general email account and respond to questions and requests in a timely way.
  • Oversee small parts of larger projects and take responsibility for administrative tasks.
  • Draft and prepare project correspondence.
  • Take notes during team meetings.
  • Collaborate with the CM project team to ensure that project efforts are implemented with excellence and efficiency.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree higher in public health, social work, mental health, or related field; or four years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated passion and interests that align with CM’s mission and values.
  • Research skills to identify and vet timely and relevant resources and events.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and proficiency in English grammar and spelling.
  • Detail-oriented and organized to support processes for project teams.
  • Demonstrated verbal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Sharepoint, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and OneNote), and other computer-based and technological applications.
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Capacity and ability to work remotely, including virtual communication.

Compensation and Benefits
  • The salary range for this position is $50,000 – $55,000 depending on experience.
  • CM offers an open policy for planned time off (PTO). It is important to CM that team members have time to restore and recharge away from work. The policy is built on trust and collaboration with team members. We also offer five paid holiday days and six days of sick leave.
  • CM offers a contribution to an employer-sponsored health plan upon employment and a retirement plan with matching contributions after six months of full-time employment.
Location and Technology
  • CM is a virtual company and has team members located across the United States.
  • Candidates must reside in the United States.
  • Candidates must have access to a quiet workspace that has adequate internet connectivity that supports online presentations and collaborative work.
  • Change Matrix supports the use of Mac computers and contributes $500 towards the purchase of a Mac computer and/or provides a loaner computer or laptop for team members. In addition, $100 will be offered annually for technology repairs and updates.
  • Change Matrix offers a $125 per month stipend to offset phone and internet charges.
