Angel Villalobos (he/him/él) is a connector and problem solver. Most recently, Angel has worked at the University of Colorado and The Colorado Health Foundation. While there, he successfully led statewide strategic efforts in the advancement and promotion of equitable grant making and evaluation practices; survey and focus group development and facilitation; participant recruitment and community building; and multi-generation intervention programming. Inspired by his upbringing and fueled by a passion for improving the health of his family and others, he actively seeks creative and innovative ways to shift influence, power, and resources to Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and low-income communities. His work has covered the fields of health equity, behavioral health, early childhood, food access, and environmental justice that continue to be cited for development in international community-centered participatory research. In his free time, he loves taking care of his over 150 house plants and exploring different creative hobbies.
