We are told to collaborate. We know that the people we serve, are often served by other groups. We also know our community could be better served if we worked together in a more effective manner. Many are familiar with a continuum that shows the varied ways in which groups can choose to work together from co-existing to collaborating. Change Matrix is pleased to offer a resource that provides a definition of each of four ways of working together as well as an example. We do not advocate for any one as the way in which groups should work all of the time. We do, however, encourage groups to think about what their community needs from them and thoughtfully choose how they will relate with one another.
