Kaitlin Ferrick

Kaitlin (she/her/hers) brings expertise in cross-systems projects, including early childhood data systems, early childhood suspension and expulsion reduction efforts, and on improving services to young children and families experiencing homelessness. With a background in teaching, she taught in Head Start classrooms as a Teach for America corps member. While obtaining her law degree, Kaitlin participated in the Innocence Project, and assisted an array of indigent clients with their legal matters. Kaitlin was previously the Head Start State Collaboration Office Director at the Michigan Department of Education where she worked to improve collaboration between the federal Head Start and state early childhood systems. Outside of work, Kaitlin enjoys cooking and all things food and coffee, traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and cats.
